Camera keeps saying "Start / Stop Recording"Updated 3 months ago
This issue can occur if the write speed of the video exceeds the write speed of the SD card. To resolve this, ensure you're using the micro SD card provided with the dash cam, or the 256GB card we sell on our website. If you're using another brand, make sure it's at least a U3 Class 10 Micro SD card and no larger than 256GB.
Micro SD cards are consumable and may need to be replaced over time. You can test if the SD card is causing the issue by swapping in another SD card you have on hand.
If your product is still under warranty, you can submit a warranty claim for a new SD card here: Warranty Claim. Alternatively, upgrading to a high-speed 256GB card should immediately fix the issue. You can purchase the recommended card here: 256GB Micro SD Card.
If the issue persists, try the following steps:
- Hold down the power button until the unit powers off.
- Hold it down again for 30 seconds to perform a reset.
- On your phone, forget the dash cam’s Wi-Fi network and reconnect using the default password.
- Format the SD card within the app settings.
- In the app, go into Camera Settings and toggle the “Boot Voice” to off.
