I can’t power on the dash cam with the 12V plugUpdated 3 months ago
Please ensure that the 12V plug is securely inserted into your vehicle's power socket and that the USB-C connection to the dash cam is tight. Also, check that your vehicle's power socket is 12V and not 24V—you can confirm this in your vehicle’s user manual.
When plugging in the dash cam, check if any lights turn on to indicate power. If possible, try powering the dash cam using the hardwire kit to determine whether the issue is with the 12V plug or the dash cam itself.
If the dash cam still doesn’t power on, check if the fuse inside the 12V plug is blown. To do this:
- Unscrew the metal contact tip at the end of the plug (the part that inserts into the power socket).
- Remove the fuse inside and inspect it.
- If the fuse is blown, it will need to be replaced.
