Rear camera not workingUpdated 2 months ago

Step 1: Check if the rear camera is recording

Open the app and go to the recordings section.
Check whether rear camera recordings are present.

  • If rear camera footage exists, the rear camera is working.

  • If no rear camera footage exists, continue to Step 3.

Step 2: Rear camera recording but not visible in live view

If the rear camera is recording but you can’t see it in live view, this is normal behaviour.

In the live view screen, tap the camera toggle icon to switch between the front and rear camera views.

Step 3: Check the rear camera connections

If the rear camera is not recording or appearing at all, check the physical connections.

The rear camera uses a 6-pin connector that must be securely plugged in at both ends:

  • The 6-pin connector near the front camera, close to the Y-split in the wiring harness

  • The 6-pin connector on the rear camera side

Ensure the male and female connectors are aligned correctly, the grooves match, and both ends are pushed in fully until secure. A loose or misaligned connection will prevent the rear camera from initialising.

Step 4: Power cycle and recheck

After reseating both connectors, restart the camera and check the app again for:

  • Rear camera recordings

  • Rear camera live view

If the rear camera still does not appear after completing all steps above, please contact support with details of what you’re seeing in the app and we’ll assist further.
