What is covered under warranty?Updated 3 months ago
Our warranty covers manufacturing defects and faults that occur under normal use. If your DriveVision dash cam develops an issue due to a defect in materials or workmanship, we will repair or replace it in line with our Refund & Returns Policy.
What’s Covered?
✅ Manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship
✅ Hardware failures that occur under normal use
✅ Malfunctions not caused by external factors
What’s Not Covered?
❌ Software-related issues that can be resolved through a software update
❌ Damage during transit – We offer shipping protection at checkout to cover lost or damaged items in transit
❌ Physical damage, misuse, or modifications
Micro SD Card Exclusions
Micro SD cards are consumable parts that naturally degrade over time and are not covered under warranty. However, under Australian Consumer Law (ACL), if a Micro SD card fails within a reasonable time due to a manufacturing defect (not misuse), you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund from the retailer.
⚠️ Data loss is not covered – ACL does not require companies to compensate for lost data, only for the faulty Micro SD card itself. We recommend regularly backing up important footage.
Extended Warranty for Extra Peace of Mind
For those who want additional coverage beyond the standard warranty and their rights under Australian Consumer Law, we offer an Extended Warranty option. This provides extra peace of mind and extends your protection for an additional year. You can purchase Extended Warranty at checkout.
Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law
This warranty exists in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). If a product fails to meet consumer guarantees (e.g., it has a major defect), you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund.
